The Unfed Dough: Starving for Rest, Not Motivation

The Unfed Dough

You’re not unmotivated—you’re just starving for care.

Dear Crumbheads,

You’ve been running on fumes.
The Unfed Dough hasn’t been nourished—just stretched.
You’re waiting for a rise that never comes, because you’re missing the starter.

You say you’re fine. You keep showing up.
But your soul’s dry. And still, the world asks for more.

Feed yourself before you try to expand.
You don’t have to perform growth without nourishment.
Starved dough doesn’t fail. It just needs care.

I once tried to bake without feeding the starter. All I got was existential flatbread.

Do one thing today that fills you—just for you.
