The Shattered Crumb
When everything breaks at once
Dear Crumbheads,
Some days, you’re not melting. You’re shattering. Like crust gone too cold—every movement risks a fracture. The Shattered Crumb doesn’t know how to hold anything. It wasn’t designed for this much breaking.
. . .
You’re not broken. You’re overwhelmed by things no one warned you would be this heavy. I once exploded emotionally while proofing dough. The crust survived. I did, too. Eventually.
Let your hands rest in warm water today. Don’t fix. Just float.
What part of you cracked before you even noticed?
Let that part be held. You don’t need to harden to heal.
