Crust Issues = Life Issues: How to Fix Both

When your loaf — and your life — both start cracking at the edges.

Dear Crumbheads,

You notice it first in the crust. The tiny split. The rough patch. The spread where it should have lifted.
You tell yourself it’s just the bread... but deep down, you know.
You’ve been stretched too thin again, trying to hold everything together without enough rest or nourishment.
The crust isn’t lying. And neither are you.

. . .

It’s okay if your boundaries cracked today.
It’s okay if you feel like a loaf that spread too wide and lost its lift.

“One time I proofed so long I became emotionally available. Never again.”

Today’s rise isn’t about fixing it.
It’s about noticing the cracks and choosing, even for one moment, to be gentler with yourself.

Touch the edge of your dough. Feel where it pulls. Then soften your hands.

You’re still rising.
Even if it looks messy. Even if you’re barely holding shape.
You’re still rising.
