Meditation? Nah. Try Baking Instead.

Dear Crumbheads,
Ever try to meditate, only to end up making a grocery list in your head while pretending to be “zen”?
Yeah, same. But baking? Now that’s real mindfulness.
Why Baking is the Most Underrated Form of Meditation:
-
It pulls you into the present. Measuring, mixing, kneading—you can’t bake on autopilot.
-
It engages your senses. The feel of the dough, the smell of fresh bread, the sound of a crackling crust—it’s sensory therapy.
- It gives your brain a break. Instead of spiraling in overthinking, you’re creating something tangible.
Baking is meditation—just with carbs and a much better reward.
Some people find peace in meditation. I find mine in watching dough rise and pretending I have my life together.
Baking = therapy, but with carbs. And carbs never ghost you.
Go forth and bake your stress away.
Mr. Crusty,
P.S. If your loaf turns out ugly, just say it has “character.”
