Letting Go of the Stale Loaf

The Stale Loaf

Dear Crumbheads,

You keep checking the expiration date on your hope, like maybe if you wait long enough, something fresh will rise again. But it still feels dry. Heavy. You’re stuck in the stale middle—where change is whispering, but fear is louder. It’s safer to cling to what’s familiar, even when it crumbles.

You might not be ready to throw it out yet. That’s okay.

Let go of the part that hardened first.

I once stayed in a relationship just to avoid unfollowing their dog’s Instagram.

Even stale crumbs carry truth.
